Wolda 09 – Worldwide Logo Design Awards
Wolda is the high-profile graphic design award scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world. Layers Back Page Design Contest
Layers Magazine is back with another Back Page Design Contest.
The January/February issue’s contest focuses on logo and advertising design. Your mission is to create a company logo for a fictitious company that develops games for computers and gaming consoles. Once your logo is complete, you then need to incorporate it into a full-page magazine ad for a new gaming title being introduced by your fictitious company.
The prize is a $500 gift card to B&H Photo, and a $100 gift card to Artistic Photo Canvas.
3D Spiral Component Giveaways
Creattica reader Chris O’Donnell was nice enough to give us the heads up on a 3D Spiral Component Giveaway that Web Designer Wall is running.
3D Spiral is a Flash gallery component that displays images on an interactive 3D rotating spiral using the Papervision3D engine.

Out Of Hand International Festival Contests
Out of Hand International Festival is running several design contests around mobile phones and other handheld devices. Prizes include a $5000 cash prize plus a possible content deal, along with other cash prizes. You can find the rules and regulations here.

Round 6 of the HUGO Create challenge is now open for entries.
This time the designs and artworks will be inspired by your own personal world. If you would have the chance to build your own universe, what would it look like?
The 10 best entries will receive cash prizes of 500$ and the work of the round winner will be published in i-D Magazine.

The Mix09 conference is running a 10K Coding Challenge.
