Sadly, the place where I work uses IE6. Some of us cubicle monkeys installed Firefox on a few of our machines, but IT made us take it off. They said it was a security risk. No, I'm not joking.

And oh. Another thing. Just tell the client if they ditch IE6 compability, the price will get lower. That will do it most of the time.

The real problem is that large companys and organisations is still using IE6, and don't let the employees install nothing else.

just stop support all together...
the browser is 10 years old, i stopped supporting mid last year.

if clients complain, explain the that the browser is a decade old, and that they should be updating to the lasted software.

this subject really frustrates me haha

that's inspiring : ban ppl who uses IE6 , but sob! it wont solve the problem. The only solution is to spread awareness to its users and let microsoft pay for what they have done!!

IE6 is clearly on it's quick way out...last month it lost nearly 2% of its market share to only hold onto 15% I took a look at some historical data from the release of IE7 and the decline of IE5 and I predict it will lose more next month as IE8 really starts to grab its share. By the end of the year we shouldn't need to worry about it.
