Best of the Week 5/31
Happy Sunday! Hope you guys had a great week (and weekend). This roundup brings you some interesting jQuery techniques, inspiring informational, industrial and package design and an interesting and unconventional resume. Enjoy!
jQuery Page Curl
Soh Tanaka has an excellent tutorial on how to make an animated page curl with jQuery! Previously I had only seen this done in flash. Definitely a great way to grab attention and add detail.
An Unconventional Resume
Clement Boutignon has found an interesting use of the data tracking service Daytim: he has set up his datum homepage as his resume. Pretty cool way to display your info in a clean and interesting resume!
Quotes on Design
Another one of Chris Coyer’s self initiated projects! Quotes on design offers thought provoking quotes from talented designers (present and past). The site also has a nifty API so you can embed the quotes in your own site if you want!
Don’t Forget to Check the Small Print
Interesting article on the NY Times website about how the terms and conditions of credit cards are presented to consumer. The author proposes an easy to read chart much like nutritional facts on food products.
Lipstick
Check out this sexy lipstick packaging that combines lipstick and a compact mirror.
IE6 Splash Pages
Tell your website viewers what you REALLY think of their ancient browser with these lovely splash pages!
Tetris!!!
I know most of you guys (and girls) out there are geeks like me! Check out these sweet tetris planting pots to geekify your house or office.
Illustrative Typography

These IE6 Splash Pages are brilliant, I wish I could get away with using them. Some of the illustrative typography is really really good. If only I had that much time on my hands to be able to focus on doing something like that.
