Studio 10 1/2 is a london based graphic design firm. I love the boldness of their website which seems to be based on the 960 grid system. They also have some pretty amazing work in their folio as well.

Wolda 09 – Worldwide Logo Design Awards

Wolda is the high-profile graphic design award scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world. Each year winning entries are rewarded with prestigious design objects created specially for Wolda: one “Best of the World” trophy for the overall winner, five “Best of Continent” trophies, individual “Best of Nation” certificates for the best entry from each country and “Award winner” certificates for all the other logos selected for publication.

Two competitors swap a file back and forth in real-time, adding to and embellishing the work. Each artist gets fifteen minutes to complete a “volley” and then we post that to the site live.

Origami Type

Graphic Designer Alexander Glenn sent us this link to his Origami inspired typeface.

Whilst freelancing at Sony in London, I started developing a typeface based on origami. I wanted to keep the shapes as minimal as possible whilst retaining their legibility. I also wanted it to be visually interesting.
