More Pepsi Branding…

ArrayNew pepsi branding campaign

I saw this interesting Pepsi commercial last night while watching TV. Have you guys seen this? The whole replacing the ‘O’ with your logo looks a bit familiar…  They also have a new site called Refresh Everything. What you do you guys think about this new Pepsi advertising?

One of the worst redesigns I’ve seen.

This so cheesy. They did all the trends out now. The logo…. the upload the video clips thing… where are all those going to go after people upload them? Are they going to email him all the clips? What’s the point? All these companies are selling “Obama Juice” and today is just the first day of work. I think he should prove himself before everyone martyrs him and Pepsi should be more original. That was sad. Technology is cool but with no purpose, it’s a waste of time.

Well, I think it’s obvious they’re following some trends, which is also evidently their style over the years. But they’re doing a nice job of it! I still prefer Coke!

it may not be appealing to us designers, but talking with people outside of the design community, there is rather a draw to the new brand.

That website is totally stupid on their part. It makes me feel awkward just watching those videos, despite their good intent.

It’s only a small difference between the old and the new one. They just changed the angle of the ball :D

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen this rebrand (I don’t think it’ll hit the UK for a while). Ugly is not the word! Absolutley hate what they’re doing here

The sad thing about this is that the intent is good, but the message it sends is somewhat in conflict with what Barack is trying to do. Getting involved isn’t simply uploading a video of yourself saying “please save us Mr. President” it’s getting out there and saving yourself and others. This just seems like more internet-based hubris.
