I think the question is getting at attempting to determine if artists are more talented than graphic designers. Depends on who you are comparing!

I think this is a rather simple question to answer. Yes, of course it is by it’s very definition:

The art or profession of visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information to an audience.

Ahhhh…I can’t do it!

I can’t vote. It is almost like a trick question. I feel like it can be art just as much as not. Some is purely functional while others are amazing pieces of art.
